Fetterman to Try for Senate
Harrisburg, PA (CBS-21) —Pennsylvania's Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman has filed paperwork to make his run for one of the state's seats in the U.S. Senate in 2022 official.
The Democratfiled his statement of candidacywith the Federal Election Commission overnight.
He'll be running for the seat currently held by Senator Pat Toomey (R), who announced he would not run for re-election.
Last month, a website was created to gage interest in Fetterman's possible Senate run and to ask for campaign contributions.
