(Harrisburg, PA) -- New positive COVID-19 cases are continuing to rise in Pennsylvania. The state Department of Health announced almost 4,000 new cases yesterday. There have now been more than 800-thousand cases in the state since the beginning of the pandemic. 80 more people also passed away due to complications of the coronavirus.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Several Pennsylvania Democrats are calling for Representative Scott Perry to resign for his involvement in Donald Trump's refusal to accept President Biden's victory. The Pennsylvania Democratic Party called for Perry's resignation yesterday. Officials from the group say Perry attempted to use the Justice Department to overturn the 2020 Election results. According to a New York Times article, Perry is being accused of introducing Trump to a Department of Justice attorney who was interested in Trump's claims of election fraud.

(York, PA) -- Students at William Penn Senior High School are going to be learning from home again this week. The York County School District announced yesterday that the school will start online classes today. The decision to move to virtual instruction comes after an outbreak of positive COVID-19 cases in the area. Students are expected to remain in remote-learning for at least the rest of the week.

(Spring Garden Township, PA) -- Spring Garden Township Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a gas station with a gun. The robbery happened last week on the 13-hundred block of Mount Rose Avenue. Police say the man took cash and cigarettes as he was pointing a gun at the store clerk. Anyone with any information on the robbery is being asked to contact the Spring Garden Township Police Department.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Authorities in Harrisburg are ruling the cause of a fire at TriState Scrap as accidental. The fire happened on the 22-hundred block of North 7th Street Friday morning. It took firefighters over two hours to extinguish the flames, but nobody was reported injured. The city's fire chief says the surrounding environment was affected from oil and gas emitted from the property's junked cars.

(Lebanon, PA) -- Two women are dead after a fire in Lebanon last week. It broke out on North Eleventh Street Friday morning and spread to two other homes. It’s reported that three kids under the age of ten live in the home that was destroyed. They were at their grandparents’ house at the time of the blaze. There’s no word on a cause.

(South Middleton Twp., PA) -- No one is hurt after a fire in South Middleton Township over the weekend. It broke out on the first block of Appalachian Trail Road Saturday evening with flames seen shooting out of windows and the roof of the property. In all, two people were displaced in the blaze, which is believed to have started on the first floor in a furnace area.

(Carlisle, PA) -- Some Dickinson College students are back on campus for the start of their spring semester. Those allowed back must follow strict COVID-19 protocols and are living in pods, which share bathrooms and common space. Classes are fully virtual for the first two weeks of the semester, which begins today.

>>Schuylkill County Man Wanted For Murder Arrested In Reading

(Reading, PA) -- A man from Schuylkill County who is being accused of murdering his infant son is now behind bars after being arrested in Reading. Berks County sheriff's deputies arrested Cordell Thomas on Friday at a home in the 300-block of Pine Street. Thomas is being charged with third-degree murder and aggravated assault for allegedly killing his three-month-old child in Pottsville last Thursday. He is facing other charges including involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

>>Man Accused Of Shoplifting Goes Missing In Berks County Quarry

(Muhlenberg Township, PA) -- Rescue teams are still searching for a man who fell into a water-filled quarry while trying to run away from the police. The incident occurred Friday morning when a man was accused of shoplifting from a Target store on North Fifth Street Highway in Muhlenberg Township. Police say the man fled the scene after they arrived, and he fell into the water-filled quarry behind the building. Rescue teams have been using sonar technology to try to find the man but haven't had any luck yet.

(Rapho Township, PA) -- Authorities are investigating the cause of an accident that injured four firefighters in Lancaster County. The accident happened over the weekend while the firefighters were responding to a barn fire in Rapho Township. Officials say a fire engine from Mastersonville Fire Company crashed and four firefighters were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.

(Lancaster, PA) -- The search for a missing elderly woman in Lancaster County is over. Police announced over the weekend that they found 80-year-old Mildred Cranmer, and she returned home unharmed. She was originally reported missing this past Thursday after she was last seen at Wildbriar Court North in Lancaster.

>>Lancaster County Coroner Identifies Body Found In Susquehanna River

(Conoy Township, PA) -- The Lancaster County coroner is releasing the identity of the man who was found dead in the Susquehanna River. The body was identified Saturday as 36-year-old Benjamin Shambaugh of Mechanicsburg. He was found dead in the river by a fisherman on January 15th near Koser Park in Conoy Township. The coroner's office says his cause of death was from freshwater drowning, but the manner of his death is still undetermined.

>>Teacher Suspected Of Being Involved In DC Riot Speaks Out

(Allentown, PA) -- An Allentown School District teacher suspected of being involved in the riot at the nation's capital on January 6th is speaking out. Jason Moorehead was placed on leave after posting a photo of himself at the riot the following day on social media, while the district investigates his involvement. The Raub Middle School teacher says he was just observing things first-hand to be a witness of a historic day and never was within a mile of where the riot happened. The district has not responded to Moorhead's statement as their investigation into his involvement is ongoing.

>>Body Of Schuylkill County Man Discovered In Quarry

(Muhlenberg Township, PA) -- Police are investigating the death of a Schuylkill County man after his body was found at a Muhlenberg Township quarry on Saturday. Police say Joshua Fontanez-Rodriguez was being sought by them for being suspected of an attempted robbery at a Target Friday night. They believe he fled the store and made his way into the quarry before divers found him in the icy water Saturday afternoon. Police say the incident is tragic and offered their condolences to his friends and family.

>>Grocery Stores Offering Incentives For Employees Who Get Vaccinated

(Scranton, PA) -- Several grocery stores are planning to offer incentives to their employees to encourage them to get their COVID-19 vaccine. Aldi is willing to give employees two hours of pay for each of vaccine dose, and salaried employees may get some schedule flexibility. Some employees say they never signed up to be on the frontlines of the pandemic, so it's important for them to get as much protection as possible. Dollar General is also considering extra hourly wages for employees to get vaccinated.
