(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Lower Paxton Township woman is being accused of stealing from Nancy Pelosi's office during the U.S. Capitol riot. Riley June Williams was arrested and charged yesterday with knowingly entering a restricted building or ground without lawful authority, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol Grounds for her alleged involvement in the mob attack in D.C at the beginning of the month. FBI authorities say they believe Williams stole a laptop computer or a hard drive device from Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office. According to a tip they received from a friend of Williams, she said she is planning to sell the laptop or hard drive to another friend in Russia. The FBI's investigation is still ongoing.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania is seeing another spike in new positive COVID-19 cases. The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported more than four-thousand new cases yesterday. Eighty more people have also passed away due to complications of the coronavirus. The positivity rate dropped by about two-percent last week, as it now holds at almost 13%.
>>Dauphin County Prison Guards Now Wearing Body Cameras
(Harrisburg, PA) -- Dauphin County Prison guards are now being equipped with body cameras. County officials say the guards started wearing the body cameras yesterday after supervisors went through a test-run last month. The cameras will not be constantly recording, but guards are being advised to turn them on whenever they have an interaction with an inmate or if a situation escalates within the prison. Guards also have to turn the cameras on if any inmate asks them to. A five-year contract for the new cameras with the Axon company was approved in 2019 and cost the prison about 565-thousand-dollars for 125 new camera systems.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- About a dozen local organizations in Harrisburg are going to be getting some help by the Giant Company in honor of Martin Luther King Junior Day. The Giant Company announced yesterday that it is spreading out a 25-thousand-dollar donation to 12 different organizations in the city. The Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council will receive a ten-thousand-dollar donation from the company, and the Greater Harrisburg Area NAACP will receive five-thousand-dollars. Ten other organizations including Capital Rebirth, the Beacon Clinic and the Islamic Society of Greater Harrisburg will each get a one-thousand-dollar donation. Company officials say the donation is being given as a part of a 500-thousand-dollar commitment the company made last year to support racial equality and diversity.

(Carlisle, PA) -- Carlisle's 5th Annual UPMC Ice Art Festival is being scheduled to take place this year. Love-Carlisle and the Downtown Carlisle Association announced yesterday that the event will be held on February 5th through February 7th. The event will feature about 50 ice sculptures that will all be set-up in Carlisle's downtown area. It will kick-off with an unveiling at the UPMC Pinnacle Throne on February 5th at 5:00 p.m. at the Old Courthouse on the Square. Organizers say COVID-19 safety guidelines will still be in effect for visitors including wearing masks and keeping social distancing. Visitors are being encouraged to sign-up on Love Carlisle's website.

Authorities say scammers are mailing cards to people that tell them they have a package that needs to be delivered. The bureau announced yesterday that its next hiring cycle is scheduled to take place in April. Officials are encouraging minorities to apply to support Mayor Danene Sorace's equity initiative in all city departments. About 22-percent of the bureau's current staff identify as minorities.

(Manheim Township, PA) -- Police in Lancaster County are asking the public for help in finding two suspects who are being accused of vandalizing a vehicle in Lancaster. The incident occurred this past Friday evening when two male suspects were shown in a video throwing a large rock through a windshield of a car parked on the 500 block of Misty Drive. Police say the suspects caused about 600-dollars-worth of damage to the vehicle. Anyone with any information on the vandalism is being asked to contact the Manheim Township Police Department.

(Lehigh, PA) -- A Lehigh Valley man is being identified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as part of a group that tried to force their way into the U.S. Capitol against police during the riot at DC on January 6th. FBI officials say Craig Bingert, of Washington Township, was with a group that tried to push the barricade protecting the Capitol after a man in the crowd yelled for them to push police out of there. They added that Bingert even waved a flag while facing the crowd chanting "F the Police." Bingert is being charged with impeding or attempting to impede law enforcement officers performing official duties during a "civil disorder."

(Easton, PA) -- Easton Mayor Sal Panto is calling on the state legislature to rethink current law and ban guns from public government buildings. Panto says he owns guns and there are common-sense reforms that could be made to help make people safer. The Easton mayor asks for metal detectors to be placed at the entrance to city hall like similar to courthouses. State Senator Bob Freeman says he believes it's a reasonable proposal, and in light of what happened in Monroe County and in Washington DC on January 6th, he hopes that legislators would see the wisdom.
>>Suspect Arrested After Trying To Flee In An Ambulance
(Hellertown, PA) -- A Hellertown woman is in police custody after attempting to flee from officers in an ambulance. Police say Antoinette Froilan allegedly stole cigarettes and Mentos from a Citgo gas station at 1020 Main Street on January 7th. The suspect then tried to get away in an ambulance, but she couldn't operate it and was arrested by police after being identified by a store employee. Froilan is facing charges of robbery and attempted theft of movable property.
>>Four People Shot In Four Separate Shootings
(Tobyhanna, PA) -- Pocono Mountain Regional Police are working to identify suspects involved in four separate shootings that left four people injured last night. Police say they all occurred in rapid succession with the first shooting taking place at Pocono Country Place around 5 p.m. yesterday, leaving a 47-year-old woman and 19-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Another shooting followed that incident at Tobyhanna Shopping Plaza, then the third at Stogie's Smoke Shop along Route 196 where a 20-year-old man was shot in the head. The fourth shooting left another 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg by the intersection of Campbell Way and Kings Way. The man shot in the head was flown to a trauma center, but the conditions of the others have not been confirmed. Police believe multiple suspects are involved, but the investigation is ongoing.

(Williamsport, PA) -- Police in Williamsport are investigating the death of five-month-old last week. Police say last Thursday, Corrie Shanikah Cowlay-Saunders allegedly entered the home of her daughter's father on the one-thousand-block of Franklin Street in Williamsport, then stabbed him following an argument and stole his car. After crashing the car, she was arrested by police and reportedly revealed that she had killed her daughter. Police investigated her home and found the body of the five-month-old baby. An autopsy was conducted over the weekend, but the results won't be in for weeks. Cowlay-Saunders is facing charges of criminal homicide, attempted murder, aggravated assault and more.
