(Wyomissing, PA) -- The Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health is getting closer to completion. Officials announced yesterday that the new medical school is expected to be completed in July of next year. The school is a result of a partnership between Tower Health's Reading Hospital and Drexel University. The new building will include a large anatomy lab, small group rooms and a simulation lab. Hiring for staff and instructors is going to start next month.

(Reading, PA) -- Reading Downtown Improvement District is going to be discontinued. City Council voted on Monday to not reauthorize the DID for next year. It will be discontinued on New Years Day. The group was originally founded in 1995, and its goal was to improve the city's central business district. Mayor Eddie Moran says his administration is planning to meet with DID directors soon.
>>Wilson School District Superintendent To Stay For Another Term
(Berks County, PA) -- The Wilson School District superintendent is going to stay in his position for another term. The school board voted unanimously Monday to reappoint Richard H. Faidley to a new three-year-term. Faidley will begin his new term in July of next year. The board also voted to accept a donation from the Wilson Education Foundation that will be used for a special activity to celebrate its students.
>>TRAIN Station To Be Used As Multi-Faceted Training Facility
(Wyomissing, PA) -- A one-hundred-year-old building in Wyomissing is going to be turned into a training facility. The building located on a former Conrail site at 1007 Hill Avenue will become known as the TRAIN Station, and it will be the home of Berks Elite Training and Corps Fitness. The Phoenix Allstars and the IM ABLE Foundation will also be working out of the new training facility. It is expected to open on New Year's Day.
>>Lancaster Police Say Man Flew From Texas To Assault Ex-Girlfriend
(Lancaster County, PA) -- A man from Texas is behind bars after flying to Lancaster County to allegedly assault his ex-girlfriend. The 35-year-old man was arrested Monday on his way back to Texas. Police say the man flew to Pennsylvania and followed the women to a house on Quarry Road before attacking her. He is facing charges of strangulation, intimidation of a witness, terroristic threats and simple assault.
