(Harrisburg, PA) -- Twenty-two hospitals around Pennsylvania are receiving doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The Department of Health announced that over 30-thousand doses were sent to hospitals in the state yesterday. Some of the hospitals to get the batch of vaccines were Penn State Health Milton South Hershey Medical Center in Dauphin County and Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Cumberland County. Moderna's COVID-19 vaccination is expected to be delivered to over 50 locations in the state starting this week.

(Dauphin County, PA) -- A man is being charged with attempted homicide after a fight in Susquehanna Township. The incident occurred Sunday morning in the 38-hundred-block of Schoolhouse Lane. Authorities say two men were reported fighting and one of them took himself to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. Police arrested Leroy Spann the Third at his home after the altercation, and he is being charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault.

(Dauphin County, PA) -- Two men are behind bars after allegedly robbing a Mobil Gas station in Susquehanna Township. The robbery happened Sunday night at the station located on the three-thousand-block of Walnut Street. Police say Saliym Royster and Dillon White were taken into custody after a short investigation. Both men are being held in prison, and their bail is set at 75-thousand dollars each.

(Dauphin County, PA) -- The Dauphin County recycling center is suspending electronics drop-offs until next year. The county announced yesterday that the center in Harrisburg is closed for in-person drop-offs until at least January 4th. South Cameron Street's recycling center is still going to be collecting paper and plastic objects and aluminum cans at the eight drop-off locations placed throughout the county. For information on the drop-off locations, residents are being asked to visit the Dauphin County website.

Layoff notices were filed last week for ten locations, including Lincoln Highway in East Lampeter Township and Oregon Pike in West Earl Township. It was last year when Sonic closed on Linglestown Road in Susquehanna Township, with a Chipotle said to be taking its location at Blue Mountain Commons.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Former Penn State star running back Ki-Jana Carter is being sued over the production of surgical masks. Carter’s ByoGlobe LLC is accused of taking two-point-four million dollars from Penn State Health without providing a single mask. The suit claims Carter told Penn State Health he would provide 400,000 masks from China and deliver them by April 15th.

(Reading, PA) -- Reading Hospital is starting to give out the first batches of the COVID-19 vaccine. The hospital announced yesterday it has distributed about 180 doses of the vaccine to health care workers. The vaccinations were received by the hospital this past Thursday. (Lancaster, PA) -- A Lancaster County man accused of kidnapping an Amish teenager is now being charged for her murder. Thirty-four-year-old Justo Smoker was charged yesterday for criminal homicide in connection to the death of 18-year-old Linda Stoltzfoos. The Lancaster County District Attorney's office released court documents yesterday with new evidence about the day Stoltzfoos disappeared. According to the court documents, the Pennsylvania State Police crime lab found Smoker's DNA on the girl's stockings which were buried in the ground.

(Reading, PA) -- Reading Parking Authority is extending free garage parking in the city. The RPA announced yesterday it is extending free downtown garage parking until January 4th. The decision was made to ease congestion at the curb caused by last week's snowstorm. Residents are being advised to pull a ticket to enter a garage.

(Berks County, PA) -- A Berks County woman is being accused of buying firearms for a minor. The woman was arrested Friday afternoon after Cro-Arms Gun and Ammo in Oley Township reported her to the Central Berks Regional Police Department for suspicious behavior. Police say she purchased about ten-to-12 guns for a minor who is allegedly associated with a gang in Reading. She is facing multiple charges including one felony firearm offense.

(Lehigh, PA) -- COVID-19 cases are continuing to rise throughout Pennsylvania. Health officials say yesterday, the state total saw an increase of nearly 7,900 new cases, pushing it over 563,000 stretching back to the beginning of the pandemic. 57 new deaths related to the virus were added to the death toll, which is shy of breaking 14-thousand.
>>Officials Believe COVID-19 Cases Starting To Plateau
(Lehigh, PA) -- Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine says it appears the state's COVID-19 surge is starting to plateau. In the last eight-days, seven of them saw daily case counts below ten-thousand, bringing Pennsylvania's seven-day average to a little over 9,100, which is the lowest it's been in two weeks. Meanwhile COVID-19 vaccinations are underway as more than 17,000 healthcare workers received their first dose out of two. The state is expecting around 30,000 more doses to arrive this week.
