Tom Corbett, the incumbent Governor of Pennsylvania, is a Philadelphia native and was born on June 17, 1949. He attended Lebanon Valley College and St. Mary's University Law School before beginning his career as a US attorney. The governor currently resides in Shaler township with his wife, Susan and two children, Tom and Katherine. As governor, Corbett introduced a plan to privatize PA liquor stores, and signed the Marcellus Shale Law (House Bill 1950). While serving as PA State Attorney General from 2004-2011, Corbett convened a grand jury to investigate the Penn State Scandal, and opposed the establishment of a Pennsylvania-specific health care exchange under the Affordable Care Act.
