Friends of Faith Friendship Villa to Lobby Lawmakers for Funding

(Lancaster, PA) - Supporters of Faith Friendship Villa say they'll be holding a rally at the Capitol next week. The director of the personal care home in Mountville that serves disabled people says they're trying to secure state funding after a crisis that began two years ago. Major donors had stopped giving after they believed managers were falsely accusing a longtime employee of sexually abusing residents. Then donations dropped even more when James Zook later pleaded guilty to hundreds of counts of institutional sexual assault. The governor's office reportedly told Faith Friendship that there are no resources available for them. The group says they hope they can convince him or lawmakers otherwise next Tuesday.
